Moonrise 2011 (second visit)

about

My introduction to Ableton Live. Which I still don't really use properly, but it led me to writing a very oldschool loop-based piece, flying the faders like it was 1993.

As I was trying out a new sequencer, I went back to basics and started stacking up the loops. I learned a lot, but, more importantly, came out with a track that reeked of the Old Times when sample-RAM was short and sequencing was awkward.

All the levels were played/muted/flown-in over one mix-down session, which is very much selling Live short, but gave the track an MPC-style feel that I was really happy with.
